The Cyber Security Malaysia Awards, Conference & Exhibition (CSM-ACE) 2010 is a two full days conference scheduled on 26 – 27 October 2010. 

The CSM-ACE 2010 is an annual industry conference that shapes the regional information security landscape. The event is expected to draw over 1,000 participants from around the world. CSM-ACE 2010 will bring together some of the most influential and innovative minds in business, government and academia as well as key information security players to exchange policies and ideas on technology.

The theme of CSM-ACE 2010 is “Securing Our Digital City”.

“Securing Our Digital City” is a proactive initiative by to address national security concerns and to build community confidence by mitigating the multi-dimensional cyber security challenges in critical infrastructure, economic and cyber crimes.

The vision is to create a cyber-secured community that is engaged at the local, state, national and international levels. This will be a holistic approach towards cyber security.

The “Securing Our Digital City” initiative will provide the “community” or digital cities with the knowledge and awareness in cyber security and best practices needed to secure our digital cities.

The CSM-ACE 2010 will run on three focused tracks:

This track is designed to discuss and understand the importance and relevance of policy, law and governance when implementing the initiative on “Securing Our Digital City”. Participants will be able to obtain updated information from our renowned speakers and panelists in the areas of policy, law, governance in “Securing Our Digital City”.

• Technical

This track will be a forum for security professionals, researchers and practitioners to share technical ideas and experience relating to the implementations, research trends and issues on cyber security. Our renowned speakers offer in-depth analysis of various topics including Cloud Computing, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, Trusted Computing, e-discovery, Data Loss Prevention, Virtualization, Cryptology, Malware, DDOS Prevention, DNS Security and Social Networking.

• Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Information Security Management Services (ISMS)

Our digital city can be secured through BCP and ISMS implementation. This track is designed to cover the various aspects of implementing BCP and ISMS and it includes key elements of information security management practices. Participants will receive hands-on information with step-by-step implementation guide during the workshop.

Apart from the main conference program for the CSM-ACE 2010, there are other social programs and activities that are being planned for delegates participating in the conference.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony for the CSM-ACE 2010 is scheduled on Tuesday, 26 October. Be a witness to this colourful opening ceremony and the exchange of strategic partnerships and collaboration in information security between Malaysia and other parts of the world.

Exhibition

The Information Security Exhibition is opened for some 10,000 visitors including the CSM-ACE 2010 participants, trade visitors, students from institutions of higher learning and the general public on 26 - 28 October from 10:00 - 17:30 daily. The exhibition is expected to house over 100 exhibiting companies from around the world.

Welcome Reception

The CSM-ACE 2010 Welcome Reception will be held on Tuesday, 26 October from 17:30 - 19:30. A special networking platform with the gathering all participants of the CSM-ACE 2010 under one roof - speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and media.

Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner will be held on Wednesday, 27 October from 19:00 - 22:00. The high-profile Gala Dinner is by invitation only. Guests will witness the presentation of the Malaysia Cyber Security Awards 2010 to recognize and highlight the achievements of the winning organizations in the field of information security.

Satellite Events

The CSM-ACE 2010 will anchor several other satellite events running in parallel with the main conference from 25 - 29 October. These satellite events are designed for different target audiences with the objective to drive transformation through creativity and innovation in information security. Some of these satellite events are opened for public participation, while others are by invitation only.

Trade and Business Matching

Trade and business matching activities will be organized on 26 - 28 October. The special trade meetings offer foreign delegates the opportunities to meet with potential Malaysian buyers from the Government as well as the captains of industry. The pre-arranged business matching meetings promote and facilitate trade among participants of the CSM-ACE 2010.

Pre-Conference Activities

Pre-Conference Activities will be organized on Monday, 25 October for the CSM-ACE 2010 participants who would like to explore and experience what Malaysia has to offer. Malaysia is the home to some of the best locations for golf, eco-tourism, food and multi-cultural activities.
